Window Tint and Angel Eyes
I have a car on order to be leased. I'd love to install the Angel Eyes and I would like to have the windows tinted. The BMW dealer works with a shop that will do a nice job tinting the glass and they recommended them. Will this effect my lease?
Also, I am interested in installing Angel Eyes Lux H8 on the vehicle. It's a 2011 X5D. Will this effect the lease? Can't I just swap the bulbs back if I turn in the car after lease expiration? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. |

If you know how to install the Lux H8 Bulbs then you should know how to reverse it at the end of the lease with the original bulbs.
The tint can be removed as well, but I don't think it will affect your lease. Since your dealership recommends a shop for the tint, just ask your dealership if it will affect your lease. I would think that these types of mods would make the vehicle more attractive at the end of a lease. |

Just put the original bulbs back in at the end of the lease. As long as the tints are of legal percentage, you should be fine leaving them on. Else you can pay to have it removed.

I've returned 2 cars to BMW with Limo tint which is not legal on the front windows in my state. I had zero issues.

I bought a set of H8 around early november of 09. Those were recalled since they did not have an inline fuse. The recall essentially adds a fuse for protection in the event of a failure.
The recall basically added that fuse. They fixed the problem. All new ones have the fuse. I have a set in both my 335i and another set on order for the X5. I really love the way they look! |
