The studs I believe were the Macht Schnell 90mm conversion. I picked them up used from another forum member here, but I'm sure they can be found online. E70/71 uses a different diameter/pitch stud than other BMWs, so be careful when ordering that you get the right ones.

I picked up my spacers locally from Achtuning, I don't know the part numbers sorry. I emailed them and they have them in stock though, they are 15mm front and 20mm rears. If you want to order from them, I suggest calling Dion at 877-722-4886 he will take care of you, every single time...

Great looking X5! Pretty much looks like my 2012 35i. See you on the west side!

I just bought a US Mill works front plate relocater, and am generally pretty happy with it. Better than having a front plate, the existing holes are pretty small as it is. And they are a local company.

Update 1 of 2 on the X5 - recently upgraded brake pads and painted the brake calipers - thread is here: http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=978536

Very happy with the performance of the pads and the improved look of the factory brakes. If you've been considering doing either, I would recommend it.

Update 2 of 2:

Been working for a while on a custom exhaust for this. I'll do a separate write-up once I can take some videos for you all, but here are a couple teaser shots. I'm pretty stoked.

Awesome at idle, part throttle, and in most situations.

I'm not in love with the sound at WOT in the upper half of the RPM range. It's not bad at all, it just sounds choppier than I'd like.

Most of the time, it sounds great. Very deep rumble, I get a lot of compliments on it around the parking garage at work. lol.

Can you provide a description of the bulbs you are using. I'm looking to upgrade my stock yellow E70 bulbs with LED's and I really like the way this looks in the pictures. Thanks.

bump. At long-last, the wheeeeeeeels...

HRE 940RL 22x12 and 22x10.5. Purchased last summer off of CL. They were on a X6M and beat to hell. Blew them apart. Powdercoated the barrels semi-gloss black. Shipped the faces and lips to my buddy in LA who refinishes wheels. Re-bored the rears to 74.1. Stripped all the factory clear and re-brushed the centers. Repaired and repolished the lips. Re-cleared both to help keep maintenance low. Shipped them back to me and I re-assembled with the fresh barrels and viola!

Love, love, love these wheels.

Not sure why I missed this, but WOW, that looks really good Rennis. Yours is a 2011, right? Looks very, very clean. Could have just rolled off the showroom floor. Did you find the wheels locally on Craigslist?

I think he's planning to buy the body kit following purchase, at least that's how I read his post

Oh, that would be clean. To have a 35d in the USA with a full, proper M Sport kit. Hopefully he'll get the M Sport wheels, steering wheels, door sills and all that too.

Thanks!

I did find them on craigslist last summer up in Vancouver BC. They were beat to hell. I blew them apart last winter and sent the faces and lips to my buddy who does refinishing. Stripped the faces and re-brushed them. Repaired the lips, repolished them, and cleared them. Stripped and powdercoated the barrels. Turned out great, better than new IMO.

Regarding the 35d with MSport body panels - genius idea. I wish I had done that myself.
