2010 BMW X5 - 60K miles - should I buy or not ?
Hi all,
I am looking to purchase a 2010 X5 black on black with almost every option. nav, cold weather , rear camera and sensors. The only thing is it has 60K miles. The dealer is selling the car for 31K and it looks and rides great. What do you all think ? and I am sure you all would recommend that I should get extended warranty on it. The dealer is offering Easycare or ASC. Do you guys recommend any of these ? or should i buy the warranty myself from somewhere outside ? |

Price seems decent. Can you get them lower? I just watched a loaded 2012 with 41k miles sell for $36.9k on eBay. The e70 seems to be taking a big hit in price with the new model coming out. Maybe remind them of that? The 2010 isn't turbo is it? I might just roll the dice with no extended warranty, but that's me.

I wouldnt gamble it without extended warranty. My 08 550i had to get the transmission swapped because it was holding 1st gear till 3k RPM after I bought it.
They also fixed an oil leak on the timing cover and valve cover. it was about $11k worth in repairs. Thank god I had the warranty. Different vehicle, but still.

still confused
Its a 3.0si.
I also looked at a 2010 X5 3.0si, with nav, cold weather, park sensors, heated rear seats and steering wheel, 45K miles CPO. the dealer is asking $37K for this one and is not going any more down. So I need to decide between 60K miles with third party warranty VS. 44K miles with BMW CPO. the CPO would cost me $2k more but it has 15k less miles. |
