Hub thread damaged with wrong bolts! Need new hubs!

I messed up my wheel hub thread by using wrong bolts.

I need to replace the hubs and this time use the right bolts.

Does anyone know where I can find the parts and a DIY to change them?

I would think that a helicoil could restore the hub to a usable fashion without replacement and may be quite a bit less expensive than replacing it with new ones. Not sure what hubs cost - labor to repair the holes with helicoils, if you can't do that yourself, may make just replacing the whole thing cheaper.

For safety and peace of mind, I would just replace the hubs. Good luck.

Replacing hubs is pretty straightforward. Take it apart and swap them out. Make sure to get an alignment afterwards if youve taken apart enough suspension bits

You don't want a helicoil, you want to use a time-sert or bigsert. When done properly it'll match the torque rating of the factory lug nuts.

It's a powerful car and I think the best thing to do would be to replace the hubs.

Does anyone know where I can order them cheap and i DIY?

Glad I read down before posting, yes time-serts are a lot nicer than helicoils.

To the OP, is this just 1 bolt, or did you do all 5?? Just wondering?
