Cannot seem to remember!
Vehicle: 2011 X5, 5.0, Sport Pac
Wheels: 20" Y-Spoke style 336 (10JX20)40mm IS front & (11JX20)37mm IS rear I want to run the front wheels (PN 36-11-6-788-010) with 40mm offset on all 4 corners for winter. Other than looks(I would no longer be able to make fun of the skinny tire boys), can anybody (who knows) think of any issues. 315/35/20 winter tires are too hard to come by....Yea, Yea, Yea...I know why! Ya'll get ta work on my problem, cause I'm to lazy to research last years threads! Good Talk.... |

Found a website, don't know how accurate it is, but check it out http://www.1010tires.com/wheeloffsetcalculator.asp For my 20's, it shows that I would gain 10mm on the inner clearance between strut and wheel, & loose 16mm from outside of fender flare to rim. I know I could make up for the outside loss with a 15mm spacer, but I'm not sure how keen I am about adding a rear spacer. I would probably just suck it up and take the hit on looks for a few months a year. Mark my word, give it 2 more months and there will be a winter tire setup thread with 3 pages of feedback. |
