Yes, the kit comes with a clear coat applicator. I will probably put a film on it for more protection.

I have done one of mine twice now, it seems like the protectant lasts about 8 months for a single application. But the difference is night and day.

Wow, that worked well. I tried a more DIY formula years ago on my e36 M3 headlights; they came out alright, but not as good as I hoped, or as yours did. So I just bought new covers with my BMW CCA discount at the dealer, it was well worth it IMO. They lasted years...
