Broken passenger door lock

So on my 2011 x5 the right passenger side door lock seems to have broken. It does not lock or unlock with the key, or with the master switch on the dash. If I lock the car all other doors lock, besides for that one. It can be opened however the alarm goes off. I cannot force the little lock indicator on door to go down into locked position. Has anyone had this issue before? whats the possible solution?

I was in a similar situation a few weeks ago, I had to replace the whole door lock actuator assembly. The cost was around $450, took Less than an hour to replace.
