Taking parts from other BMW's, relabeling them as their own...taken right from the pages of $$Dinan$$ with "their" intake manifold (larger intake runners) vs one simply taken from the non-VANOS M60 engine and bolted onto the M62/TU engines.

Zoom in closely enough and you can see the BMW logo as well as the *80 and *61 in the part number.

Yes, the turbo to manifold flange is different, so getting M5 headers means also getting M5 turbos or buying upgraded turbos and making sure their taken from an M5. What's in question after that is the oil feed and coolant lines.

Bumping this thread. I've got pictures of the machine work required to get the S63 turbos to fit onto these S63TU headers. RBoosted ran these and noted a loss of power, but it also should be noted that it was a canned tuned for the most part.

I've written PP Performance to ask how they handled crossing over the exhaust pulses and what affect it'll have on getting proper readings for AFR, fuel trims, etc but I'm not holding my breath on them replying. I've written my tuner, Halim/HC Performance, because of my concern on how tuning and adjusting for AFR's would be done since S63 headers are confined to one side of the engine vs S63TU headers crossover the banks. At this point I might be going doing what S63TU guys do in that they don't need to use JB4 for tuning and meth control anymore (I'll likely keep it on there for logging and map 4 safety features), instead it's more refined tuning and I might be using my Aquamist meth setup after all. TBD.

I just emailed pp-performance and asked about there tune. There website doesn't really go into details as to what your getting it just list:
1. Chip Tune =2199€
2. Racing Filter =130.€
3. Catless kit =2399.€
4. Exhaust system = 8399.€ 😂😂😂

Yes, good for 718PS / 970Nm

But I already have all those parts so I'm interested to know can they custom tune and what should it make & cost. So far there prices are typical European Purple Haze 💨

Hello guys!
I am writing to you from Russia. Х5М / Х6М for a long time are tuning in our country. At the moment for the E series we have 3 popular stages:
Stage 2: ECU tune, decat downpipes, exhaust (akrapovic or modded stock exhaust)
Stage 3: ECU tune, decat downpipes, exhaust, exhaust manifolds from F85/m5f10
Stage 4: ECU tune, decat downpipes, exhaust, exhaust manifolds from F85/m5f10, turbos from F85/m5f10.

Most of the cars go to st2, a little less on st4, the most uncommon st3. St3 is more fun after 5000rpm, but has less torque on the bottoms.
St2 cars goes 60-120mph - 9.8-10.2sec
St3 cars goes 60-120mph - 9.2-9.4sec
St4 cars goes 60-120mph - 8.2-8.4sec

St2 owners use the PP Perfomance software or BR Perfomance. PP faster on 60-120mph, but BR have a mutch more torque (approximately 100nm) from 2000 to 5500rpm. For everyday use, the BR is much more pleasant.

St3 owners use the PP Perfomance.

St4 owners use the PP Perfomance software or Pashtet. According to the characteristics of these software are similar, they are safe for the motor, but the gearbox runs only 20-30 thousand miles. Now began to test the XHP software for the gearbox maybe it will extend the life of the gearbox.
