New (to me) X5 M

I thought I would introduce myself to this part of the forum.

I recently purchased a 2011 X5 M

I do not need to tell any of you what an amazing SUV this is. I mean, what it can do defies physics (or so I thought). As a friend said this is a "sleeper" vehicle (thanks Dave).

I'm no stranger to the M brand that's for sure. I have owned both the E39 and E60 M5's as well as both E46 (which I still have) and E92 M3's.

Sadly I had to move into something more practical (well maybe not on the gas mileage side) forcing me to sell my E92 M3 (see below). The picture of it was just before it left my driveway for the last time (I had already removed at the CF goodies I could).

I took delivery of the X5 M last week and have truely enjoy driving it. I didn't have it 12 hours when I changed out the front grills and installed LUX V4 lights and tinted the two front windows. I also had DVD in motion enabled, V=speed, open and close trunk lid from the interior button and key fob and the removal of the idrive warning message coded. Lastly I updated the Navigation system to version 2015-1

The family (dog included) just love the space. Last weekend I put 2 sets of winter wheels (8 wheels & tires) in it with room to spare

The thing I miss about the M3 is the sound it had. I had done the OEM exhuast mod. This is something I'm looking into for the X5 M too!

Looks great! Mind sharing what options came with it apart from the 2005 dvd player

I sure wish the 2005 DVD player

were able to play the same movie up front at the same time

Dude... That car is loaded with great options, it's not got every single option but damn if I bought one brand new I would probably get the exact same optional extras. Nice
