Need your opinion on painting front grill's
Hey guys,
My car has all-black front grill's and I was thinking in changing the color to the factory semi-mate silver. Here is a 3 car picture of all possible options, even the one I have now. I put all together for easy comparison. By the way, my car is Alpine White Please tell me which one you like most ? Thanks in advance ! Bernie |

Bernie, I like options 2 or 3. Are you thinking of painting them or just buying them? I think the factory finish would be tough to duplicate on your own (but maybe you are more talented than I!). I like the black mesh instead of the silver on either finish.
Let's us know what you do.

Option 1 is more elegant and flows with the rest of the vehicle. Option 2 is too mixed and matched and not organized. Option 3 is aggressive and could be enhanced with black wheels.
I guess it depends on what you're looking for the X6 to exude. I personally would go for the "Sexy Beast" look and Option 1.

How much cost to paint those grills in the States ? in Costa Rica is very cheap, you can pay all grills and mesh for $100 at most

You can find the part numbers on this website for the mesh (grids as the factory refers to them):
http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E7...ounting_parts/ The number varies by model and package type. Pretty inexpensive but I don't see a color choice. I will have to check with the dealer to get more specific.
