New 2012 x5 xdrive 30d owner

Well, finally pulled the trigger to purchased a 2012 xdrive 30d.
I've owned e30 and e46 before, and My current car is an e39 528t, so the diesel thing is completely new experience.
The car has Only 5000km with the following option:

My question is:
It says area code-3 for DVD, does It play On the small monitor in the front? Because i didnt see any monitors.
And does the diesel really has an interval of 2 years/ 30k KM for the oil change?

I have a US 35D, what's the difference between mine and your 30D?

Got the same one as you do, even Black Saffire Metallic though mine's 2011 built LCI. Have the DVD accessory (don't think it plays in front)
S6FFA DVD-System im Fond DVD-system in rear compartment

You can follow the condition-based service monitor on the dash. I was told it's 10k kms.

I tried to play music CD in the headunit, and It says "unreadable". Mind you this is not an mp3 burned cd. Have you had this experience?

For the E70 all diesels are 3000cc.
30d in Europe has one turbo and 245 hp after facelift
Then you got 35d us/ 40d eu both have 2 turbos. The 35d is a de-tuned version of the 40d. Think the 35d has around 265 hp and the 40d 306 hp.
Finally eu got the 50d with 3 turbos and 381 hp.
When I say Eu, I think it covers rest of the world.

Before the facelift in 2010, the eu 30d had 235 hp and the 40d were named 35d with around 285 hp.

But all are based on same 3000cc block
