X6M damages help!

Hello!
My name is Jimmy and I drive a 2011 white x6m in Boston.

Recently, the valet parking guys damaged both the front and the back of the car. The front bumper needs to be changed for sure, and the back top part of the trunk door has been dented pretty bad. The valet and the company denied of their responsibility and it's really not possible for me to prove anything.

I asked the insurance guy and he asked for a $1000 deductible. Would it be better to do it through the insurance or just fix it yourself at a body shop? I'm still a noob, help me out!!!

Thanks in advance!

1. Buy a baseball bat in case you don't have one
2. Go brake at least one of the valet guy knee's
3. Pay the $1000 deductible and get new parts, remember plastic parts cannot be fixed if they are dented
4. Let's forget about points # 1 and 2.......

good luck !

Go through your insurance. Ultimately, they are fitting the bill for the repairs, so they will likely go after the company to get reimbursed.
It will be more of a hassle but better in the long run.

Get an estimate first, then decide what to do.

#1 and 2 appeal to my sense of justice.

This is the reason I never valet park my car had too many bad experiences.

All but #3 work for me. It would be nice to try and get the company who damaged the vehicle to pay the deductable.

You need to pay the deductible regardless of who's at fault. When the valet is held responsible then your deductible will be returned.

On that note you should be able to find many body shops that are willing to pay for your deductible to get work done at their shop. Many body shops actually advertise that. In that case when valet is responsible then the deductible is returned to you

Here is a idea......good reason to replace both the front and rear facia with the BMW Performance Parts. (Looks like a M) I have been quoted $3000.00 + paint and install. Make a claim and you got it done for $1000.00. How is it...When delivered a lemon, make lemonade !!

Wow everyone, thanks a lot for all the good info!

I think I'm going to try to find a body shop that will cover my deductible to get this done. Saves me the most I suppose!

Anyone in the Boston region so we can at least cruise once together???

Hey sorry to hear that!! I'm in Boston with an X6M too...

Check with the body shops for prices then decide what to do --- although I think you really should get the valet company pay for it...

BTW which valet is that? --- so I can break his knees for you lol

@fmyvon
Thanks buddy for the shout out!
I have seen 2 x6m's in Boston. 3 including mine.
White and carbon black. Which one is yours?

I valeted on 32nd st Broadway. Ktown. Filed an alleged accident report and the manager got back at me saying the damage was pre-existent and dismissed the case. They even changed the paperworks to match their side of the story.
Central Parking System. Never ever park with them. I even tipped the valet guy and told him to park it at the front with extra care. I'm gonna go break their knees. Everyone there.
Manager's name is Emmanen Tilus. This guy called me and yelled at me. And then hung up and never picked up again.

Anyways.
Where in Boston!?!?!! Let's meet up!!!!!! I always wanted to be friends with another x6m owner lol. Oh I'm a student btw, Babson.
