E70 2009 6.5" CCC iDrive replacement

Plastic layers of screen cracked, and there was also something else going on under that, like a fungus spreading out from bottom.
Removed and cleaned off the plastic layers down to the glass, and there was def something eating under the glass screen itself. Possibly all the result of an poorly selected car cleaner.
So I need a new one.
Not finding anything on Ebay, but what is popping up are all these Android Carplay compatible replacements (basically 10.25" smartphones out of China, shipping from US) for around US$250-500.
Does anyone have any actual experience with installing these and can recommend?
