Cannot Identify where this Part Goes Back

Hello all,
working a few things on my 2011 bmw x5 n55, Valve Cover gasket, oil housing gaskets, intake valve cleaning and transfer case fluid change. during dissassembly, i removed this part and cannot recall where it goes back to. Can anyone please advise? TY. Images attached

I recentely did the same job, but not the transfer case.

I took pictures but can not find it in them, no idee where that peace is comming from, i also can not remember that i took something like that out.

Did a search on realoem, but no luck.

Is it a plastic of alloy part ?

its a cast piece, not aluminum, feels like some sort of counterweight. the screw is not machined, so it appears to go into plastic or sheet metal.

I found it, its part 26 of the valve cover diagram on realoem. Its called an absorber. It must have been an added counterweight for vibration purposes and its not on every n55 motor. TY for your help Daytonawim, i

No problem!

I wonder why it’s not found on every engine?

It’s about 180 grams and cost a whopping 130 euro’s
