blower motor

well I struggled to fix my blower motor (replaced resistor twice) While testing the fan with it out it seems to go only one speed, is that normal or has the motor gone bad? or could it be something else? tia NMDerek

is there a way to get that upper? kick panel out to make the job easeier? seems like there is only 2 screws on the bottom but it runs into the glovebox area, no videos on utube.

no easy way. are you buying original/OEM resistors? Two failing in quick succession is pretty rare for a quality part.

If the blower motor is only off (0%) or on (100%), then the resistor is not working or not being recognized.

You will know if your blower motor is bad, it will sound weak and then suddenly stop blowing at all.

It is possible some wires to the resistor has gotten hot and melted if there's been a bad connection.
