E71 washer fluid leak!

Hey guys.. I have an E71 and I tried to refill the washer fluid since the light was on. When I tried to fill it up, I noticed that the fluid was leaking from the front passenger side bumper. Does this mean that the tank is cracked or do I need a new pump? When I try to use the wipers I hear the pump working but no fluid is coming out. What do I need to do and how many pumps do I need if it’s a pump issue? Anyone have any experience in fixing this on your own?

if you hear the pump sound i dont think you need a new pump.. but more you try to use without fluid in the pump more likely it ll be damaged..

would the strainers/grommet or tank be the issue then? the fluid drained quickly when I put it in.

Most likely cracked tank. Very common on both X5 and X6. Happened to me twice. They tend to split.

Did you replace them on your own or did you go to the dealership?

I had the exactly same issue but it still was the pump that was leaking. Replaced it and now it doesn't leak anymore.

For those of you who had this issue, did you ever get any white smoke coming from the front passenger side when driving?

Has anyone replaced the tank or had any hoses leak? I have had to fill up the washer reservoir twice in the last four months and haven't used the washers at all. So there has to be some sort of leak in a hose or at the tank.
