Help w Glove compartment on the dash

i was replacing the glove compartment lights on the dash. when i put the new light in, it lighted up for a second than i think it fried. my fren than took the bulbs out n closed the glove compartment by mistake. i try to open it again and it wouldnt open. all i hear is like a release sound, but nothing happens. (inside the compartment is empty and the light bulb and the case is not inside) i was thinking its not opening cuz the case+bulb is not on. but my service center told me the release is broke. can that happen? just closing it regularly will break the release?? help plz

use an "allen key" (L shaped thing). Put it in vertically, turn it so it grabs the inner part of the glove box, then pull to open your glove box.

Dunno why it broke though. Either way, ur warranty should fix it.
