Interior LED replacement and headaches

Bought the Ziza kit given the reviews I had read had been positive (no flickering/error codes) and missed the recent group buy. Hopefully noone from the group buy has had any issues, but I am up to my ears in flickering. First, took forever to even get the center dome light to illuminate (tried every configuration, multiple bulbs, etc.). Finally got it to light up, but now....

Open door = center dome flickers for a couple seconds; rear passenger dome is a strobe light
Start car = LED coronas flicker a couple times, center dome is a strobe light
Turn off car, open door = all works!!!

What in the heck am I doing wrong here?!?!

Doh! I want to do this too, I don't like the floor footwell lights, as well as some of the others. But it seems pretty finicky to just buy any 'ole random LED if you're going to encounter these types of issues. At the same time, the "markup," that some places charge for "LED's for BMW's," is a little crazy.

Hopefully someone posts an answer/solution for you.

I just bought my led interior light from the group buy. I think the lights are called CANBUS LED lights. I installed them and the interior lights are working great (no flickering/error codes). I also change my license plates lights but the only minor glitch is that once you turn off your lights, license plates lights flickers for about 1-3 sec but no error codes. (i think once you get it coded it will stop the flickering).

Hope this help.

I did the same mistake, Bought the ZIZA kit, i thought the product will up to their standard considering the money they are asking for it.
But disappointment..

Flicker in center dome and passenger side pillar lights.
Changed all 5 bulbs with OEM BMW LED lights, very happy and no flicker.

A full oem kit will run about $300.

The aftermarket kits are about $120.

The group buy was for $45.

Strangely enough, the group buy kit seems to be the only flicker/error free aftermarket option.

I've had good luck with aftermarket

I bought aftermarket from FleeBay and have zero issues with errors and flickering. I paid about $45 for the canbus style. Super easy to replace except glovebox.

Anyone find the solution to stop the flickering? Startted my vehicle this morning and I thought I went back in time and was in a disco.
I have read that the flickering can be due to poor connections, I'll go over each one and double check and make adjustments as neeed, but is there anything else anyone has found to be an issue for me to double check?

It's probably an issue with the bulbs.

I'd send your kit back and order one that's designed for 'canbus' systems.

no issues, not flicker, they all worked great. Amber kit to match the BMW orange!
