exhaust tips removal and much longer screws for diffuser

after installing front lip yesterday I went to see how to install rear diffuser and exhaust tips, looks like the diffuser goes on top as the original piece is part of rear bumper, now after removing 2 original screws I realize that I will need 3 times longer screws to install it and possibly some 3M tape on the top. I assume I can get the screws in Home Depot.
Now for tips, I looked around and can't find straight answer are the stock tips welded on or fractured on? I tried to pull them out with no success, sure enough if they welded I won't be able to do anything without going to muffler shop but I was hoping somebody have an answer for me!

just went to muffler shop, the original tips needs to be cutoff. going back in an hour to see what can be done to install my Akrapovic tips, I assume they will need to add something to bring tips little bit out. Will update once complete.

Are you retaining the exhaust flap valves or getting rid of those?

That's completely up to you. I just wanted to give you a heads up that if you do, it's a good idea to plug the vent hoses. I used to have a vacuum leak that gave me the "engine malfunction, reduced power" warning after doing the exhaust, until I plugged them up.
