Time for new Tires 335/25/22 options

I will be replacing my tires this spring. There is not much option for my staggered set up 335/25/22 and 295/30/22. I currently have Scorpions and they have been good tires. However, i just came across the Vreds Vorti and they do make the sizes I need. Anyone have any experience with these particular tires? I know the brand and have used both the Sessanta and Wintrac 4 winters. Trying to compare these to the Pirelli's. I do realize the Scorpion Asimmetrico I have are "all season" and the Vorti are summer. I believe the Vorti replaced the Sessanta.

I'm considering them too but hasn't been able to locate any feedback on them. However unlike you, i thought the Pirelli was rather crappy, they simply do not grip the road as well as our stock bridgestone both on braking and cornering. As such I really want to know how these are.

Also they aren't double the price, only a few hundred more, they use to have P-zero for the size we need, but those are long gone and they were double the price

I found all three online in Canada. The Vreds rears are $338.00 I can't find the front size in vreds. Both P zero and asimmetrico I can find. P zero are double the price, the asimmetrico are $100 more than the vreds. I had the sessanta ultrac and they were great tires, but wore out quickly. These Vreds are rated 320 and the Pirelli are 420 UTQG which is subjective from manufacturer to manufacturer.

is $338 rear in CAD or USD? the only place i have been able to find Vreds in canada is PMC tires from Quebec, they have 295/335 on their website. Compare the the asimmetrico it's around $430 CAD more for the entire set. Not sure where you are able to find the P-zero fronts, they use to make a 285/30/22, but not anymore to my knowledge

Just switch to new Continental Contisport 6. The Pirelli Scorpions are 10 years old in design. Nothing has changed. There noisy, poor grip and IMO look dreadful. I don't know if new Continentals are available in USA/CAD otherwise i'd say look at the P-Zeros, Vreds or Contisport 5.

I paid $1500 for a set. Mine were direct from Germany and according to my dealer one of the first sets to enter the UK!

I looked these up and I do not see the sizes I need. All that comes up is the Contisport Contact 5P.

you could go to Yokohama, but narrower in the rear, 315

315/30R22 Yokohama ADVAN 510.99/ea (this may be too tall in the back)
295/30R22 Yokohama ADVAN 513.99/ea

Vreds are a super good tires cant say enough about them. i contacted there rep and he set me up with a tires set up for summers that where .04% rolling diameter from stock. I would get them again in a heartbeat. Contact them and letem know you want a summer suv tires on X rim size staggered

these are mine they are DC, but there is a successor that fits your needs

those are crazy talk expensive for a tire that will only last maybe 10k on a truck that you don't need max traction

Can you still find the 285/30/22 today? from what i could see Pirelli aren't making them anymore

thanks for the review, however by the looks of it you are running the ultrac sessanta, which does not come in the size we need. the only verds that come in 285or295/30/22 and 335/25/22 are the ultrac vorti and the design on those are completely different

I had 2 sets of the Vred Sessanta on my previous X5. They were good tires, but wore out quickly and became very loud. If the Conti 6's were available here I would be ordering a set. There is unfortunately limited dealer support for Vred here in Canada. My second set of Sessanta's I ordered were already 4 years old from the warehouse. I refused them and the distribution warehouse wouldn't take them back from the dealer. At least with Pirelli there is support and in the event of a blowout replacements are available.

its true that if a tire were to go i would be fuckedd but a risk i was willing to take. I only put 9k miles a year split between 2 sets. these are max summer tires so i know they last about 10-15k. look into vred ventri the rep said those are the sessanta replacement

If tyre wear is one of the concerns, then Contisport 6s would be a no no. There an ultra performance tyre, they even come with a warning that the tread is soft. The grip is unreal, and noise? None!

Contisport 5s are a great alternative if you can find them, otherwise P-Zeros if your not keen on Vreds.
