Yes, you probably should have.... I was going to powder coat my OEM stuff until I found these Brembos!

Don't let it bother you... It's not that big of a deal to me.

Thanks Brother!
I am quite pleased with them!

New GFB diverter valves installed.
New NKG plugs installed (1 step cooler).
New updated coils installed...
New revised tune from Active Autowerkes installed.
The first tune was sent in the wrong format and we had to wait for the correct format, then the truck didn't like the revision... It took a half day to figure it out. Once the last tune was uploaded and the truck was happy, it was too late to make the dyno...

Having ALL Fluids changed; transmission, differential, transfer case and fresh engine oil....
Then we will be all set to dyno...

(just got to book another day!)

Looking good sir! It's nice to see X5M modding is still alive and well over here. So what's the next mod?

Sure thing!

I am changing out all fluids now; Transmission, transfer case, 3-piece differential, Engine Oil, etc...

Once that's done, I am going to reschedule the dyno tuning.

Keeping these fluid clean and fresh is highly recommended for the longevity of any vehicle, especially high performance ones like our X5Ms

Fluids changed at 85k miles! (all were pretty dirty);
-Transmission fluid (filter, gasket ATF fluid, pan bolts)
-Transfer case fluid
-Front diff fluid
-Rear diff fluid - we have a 3 piece differential; (rear diff gear oil + final drive gear oil)
-Engine Oil - LiquiMoly 5w-30

I also accomplished some other things while it was in the shop... Installed wireless phone charger in console, Installed high quality LED bulbs for turn signals, brake lights and reverse light, so I am fully LED on the exterior lighting, reconnected the vacuum actuator for exhaust flaps (I have been chasing this issue since I bought it )
The actuator unit was completely bypassed, causing flaps to stay open all the time - I know some of you want to have them open all the time, but not me; I like having the ability to control them when I want!

Total cost $1887.00

(Coming soon) - Dome hood is at paint shop being prepped and painted + Dyno tuning

I'm about to service the tranny and swap the tcase fluid. The front fluid got swapped when BMW replaced my oil pan gaskets under warranty recently, but I haven't swapped the rear yet so that is coming in a soon...I'm just confused about the rear diff...realoem lists two different oils, 3 x .5 liters of one oil and 1 x .5 liter of another oil...not sure how to actually put new oil in...there are three separate drain and fill plugs so six total...can you advise me on which oil goes where?

The rear diff is actually a three-piece differential. The center section gets one type of fluid while both outer sections get a different type of fluid. The levels and types of fluids that are required are very precise and specific... not to be taken casually. My buddy Tyler @ JVB AUtomotive (independant BMW repair shop) who does most of my regular maintenance took care of this service for me.

Tim is kinda busy lately

what's u budget? you have to realize that there is no real OEM CF trim for X5/X5M E70 except for leather version:

take a look at this and let me know if this is something that might be of u interest (this is as real as it gets):

btw I see u own X6M, door panels are different from X5 to X6 so make sure you know that!
