Question regarding style 215 wheels
Hi guys.
I am waiting on my X6 36d, it's still 2months away. I'm planning to get ferric grey style 215 wheels once I get my car. Dealer here(new zealand) quoted me $7000. I found this aftermarket wheels from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/21-x-...item3a54c4d20d Even if I pay for shipping and tax, it will be still lot cheaper than Dealers. My concern is quality of these wheels compare to OEM wheels. Should I stick to OEM wheels or get this aftermarket ones? Thank you. |

I can't get over how small the non X6M brake rotors look compared to the X6M rotors.
The brakes on the X6M are one of the upgrades I am most pleased with, VERY powerful. |

Correct me if I am wrong, I think X6M front rotor is only 395mm, X6 front rotor is 405mm. For the brakes X6M is bigger than the X6.

The only issue I'm trying to clarify is the fitment. The 22" will look good but are 10" all around (not staggered) and the offsets are 35ET all around. Oem calls for 40ET up front and 37Et in the back. Can anyone clarify how these wheels will fit and look, I know the rear tires wont be the massive 325 (they will be 285 all around) but more concerned with the offsets making the fronts stick out rather than sit flush with the fenders. |

Go with the aftermarket and save yourself a bundle. If you bend one its cheaper to replace than OEM- dealers rip you off. I always go aftermarket replicas- they hold up and you can't tell the difference between that and the oem wheel. The guy on Ebay- speedvision I think is his store, has nice style 215 replicas, I am in talks to buy a set. They are made in Germany too like the oems....

Yes you were wrong. Here is the correctionX6M brake size 395mm(F)/385mm(R). 5.0 brake size 365mm(F)/345mm(R). 3.5 brake size 348mm(F)/345mm(R)

Hi BabyBlack you are so delighted with your finding. Thanks for the information. Sorry that I may got it all mix up with my Brembo Brakes which is 405mm front and 395mm for the rear. I thought they are running the same. But anyway I think that rotor size is vary in different country. For instant in Singapore X6 50i Front rotor size is 385mm and the rear is also 385mm too. X6 35i Front rotor size is 365mm and the rear is 345mm. I may not be wrong too, I remember I saw those information to support my post in my Australian 2009 BMW X6 catalog it stated 405mm for the front and 395mm for the rear for the X6 50i, when I was doing the posting at that time. But I could be wrong. It seems like Asia Pacific area is running a bigger rotor than the west. I will check on it and let you know if my posting is wrong.
