35d cold air intake review
Anyone using a cold air intake for their x5 35d? I have seen the offering from Fisher Motorworks, but the pictures and lack of information leaves a lot to be desired (especially when they're asking $400).
https://www.cascadegerman.com/produc...xoCVx4QAvD_BwE Seems like several vendors make this style intake (where the filter is in the grill, and directly exposed to the elements), at least for the other motors offered for the e70. I'm interested in more power, but it's mostly for improved sound... Sure would be easier to clean the filter too. I find the intake filter REALLY difficult to access on my stock setup. It takes at least 20 minutes of monkeying around with the intake plastics to get it sealed up, especially on the firewall side. |

I was curious about this also.
I read on NABDOG on fb that the Fishers can crack due to their 3d printing. But I contacted Cascade Motors and they said they are better now. There are other options and write ups on how to build your own for less cost. I decided for now that I’ll take that money, buy a tune and leave the stock air box for now. I want the sound but for the money I’d rather get more performance. |

I wouldn’t buy it. They have a printer that’s worth 10k but have no idea how to print reliably with it. Honestly a shame because they could make great parts but they need to spend some time prepping their materials and dialing in their printer settings.

Definitely not worth having on an X5 unless you want more intake noise with no real benefits.
