I don't think those predictions are even close. My X6 is already faster than 5.3 and they are going to most likely use the same engine in mine and bump up the HP another 100hp which should put 0-60 times in mid-high 4 second range.

I do agree though that it would be nice if they stuck to the essence of Porsche and M. Unfortunately, this is a business and there is a huge market for high performance SUVs - apparently based on Porsche's sales.
