More new shots of the upcoming high performance X6 model
For all intents and purposes this car is the ///M version of the X6 whether BMW call it that or not. BMW has long stated it would not produce an ///M version of its popular SAVs, but those were during the days of the X5, we don't know if BMW will be hard and fast with this rule when it comes to the X6.
Regardless, this car does exist, it does sport quad exhausts (///M trademark), some kind of fender grills or emblem (another ///M signature) and a very agressive body kit. But as always, BMW is never predictable, so time will tell what this car will be and more importantly what will be under the hood. (Rumors as they stand are for the M5 V10 |

Something about the fender flares/wheel arches looks even more ridiculous than normal. Did they flare 'em out even more? The normal X6 already has giganto bulges surrounding its wheels. The wheels on this mule also look too small; the arches dwarf them.
I'm not sure about the front bumper. It looks better on the upcoming high-performance X5 mule, which seems to have the same bumper. The rear looks good though.

Interesting. Didn't know this was a possibility. Sounds like it could work with the V10, however it's going to take 24 inch rims to fill those gaps between the fenders, because even on the 35i & 50i model, the 20's look SO TINY.
And don't even mention gas mileage.....8 or 9 mpg ? I think this car would have trouble selling in the US.

STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This thing already weighs over 5,200 lbs. Now they want to put a heavy V10 in it. Absolutely useless. It already was useless. Just buy a M5, which actually has 5-seats. |

this is the front end off the 4.4 twin turbo. BMW has never put a M engine on a regualar car and they are not going to start now. Plus the 4.4 twin turbo would be faster that the v10

I hope it does have over 507hp because it needs to , its gonna be heavier , bigger wheels also something like 23inch or 24s with big fatass tires like 335/25
also I think BMW will present us both powered X6 and X5 at the same time at the Paris Motor Show this year....there are rumors however that X5 will have 6.0 V12 from 760 which I doubt but anyway it would be great a modefied 6.0 maybe.... |

I doubt X6 could compete with Porsche , Porcshe is in a world of its own.... if X6 can compete with ML63 Id be happy which again I doubt , I think this something new will be around 4.0 twin turbo with 480hp..if even that much!.but lets hope for more bigger and stronger than the ML63...why not 700hp like the prototype X5

No, no, no. Have you even seen pics of the Xdrive X6-5.0? Obviously not. It looks almost identical to the Xdrive 3.5i X6. No this is definitely some kind of new vehicle with a more powerful engine-hence the huge air intakes. WHAT kind of engine remains to be seen. But again, the twin turbo V-8 X6 that goes on sale shortly this is not. |

I would guess they used a tuned version of the tt v8. The M5/M6 v10 would probably be too low on torque to move that fat a$$.Rumors are going around about a ttv8 in the next m5, so it would seem a logical choice in the x6.

+1...on the torque prob of the M5's V10
Even though the M5's V10 is a world class engine, it would just be too low on torque for a heavy car like an X6. The M5's torque is not that low but it isn't high enough for an X6. Sure the engine would be great to go full out but, it would be really hard to move in slow traffic with that kind of low torque. I would rather hope its a tuned up version of the upcoming TT V8, like someone here who rightly pointed it out.

I still don't understand why people want a lifted, 5000+ lbs vehicle, with only 4-seats and has little utility.
Don't people look a spec sheets before they buy? |

I have had a lot of new cars, but none of them have even come close to all the great word my X6 get! Back from a holiday trip and where ever i did drive the X6 people stops and gave the car great comments! The backseat...Honest who wanna sit three in a tight backseat on a long trip!? My friends in the backseat of my X6 just love the space and comfort they got. The engine and driving for sure kick ass compare to my -05 X5 4,4 v8 and its not even close to drink as much! Test drive the X6 and see how the adaptive drive and DSC works! Its so great! You get a big sport car with a lot of space and lovley comfort. My wifes 535 is not even close to that! But, if you dont get the point you will never understand it |

Go drive the 50i and then you will understand. I just drove it earlier this week and was very impressed. Much more fun to drive than X5, but if you have to have a 5 seater to justify an SUV/SAV then it is not for you. It does not feel 5000 lbs when you drive it.
