Kudos to you, someone that knows how to run a tread depth gauge! I hate the people that say 80% tread left then you get them and measure them and it's 50%. Will you ship to Canada?

I read somewhere you're really supposed to read it across all four positions on the tire, then take an average. Is that true?

Partially correct ... BMW says to measure from the wear bar up: left edge, right edge and center. Reason: wear bar is at approx 4/32 (4mm) which is the limit for tires on BMW vehicles.
