Those are fun little cars without a doubt. A friend has one and it's surprising how roomy it is inside, the rear seats are set way back so you can actually have some legroom. It's a very small car, but makes the use of the space better than most I've seen, leverages the hatchback shape for that room. The 275hp version is going to be nuts for such a small car.

I've no doubt that the Veloster N will be tune-able ... and oh! Look! Analog gauges, including a wide-sweep temperature gauge in the N!
Seriously, though: Torque vectoring, LSD, LED headlights, and a HUD at this price point? Not shabby at all ... Two problems: - The interior, overall, is not an improvement. Buttons are too big, lines don't flow into each other much, and yet another touch screen that looks like an aftermarket add-on. - I really hope dudes taller than 6 feet can fit. I didn't (6-3 here).

The rentals are always beat to hell.
I had a Veloster Turbo and took it to Laguna Seca once. Bone stock. Was a blast to drive. Yes, it's not the fastest car in the world. And no I don't drive Laguna enough to pull a sub 2 minute lap IRL on Kumho Souless 500 tread wear all season tires and stock brakes. But boy howdy, at 2,8xx lbs you can really toss the car around like few other modern cars. And for a brake INTENSIVE track like Laguna, it handled a 20 minute session without brake fade, on bone stock brake pads, rotors, and fluid. It really was one of those cars that had more character and soul than actual oomph. Like Steve Rogers pre steroid, er, super soldier serum. 200hp on a 2,8xx frame. Not going to blow anyone's door off, but you don't have to.
