The new 20" snow wheels are in!

Here is what I am talking about:

If you look at the pictures you will se the rear wheels are a deeper dish look than the fronts even though they are the same width (9").

The last two pictures are the rear wheels, in person the deeper look of the rears is much more pronounced.

So they made the rear wheels offest -30mm in the rear to keep the same edge to tire spacing.

Myself I still like my setup a lot more especially at 40% the cost.

a 30mm rear wheel spacer will be about the right size, problem is anything over 20mm is pricey and a 2 set of lug/bolts design (like H&R's kit).

I may experiment with one next week, I have a new floor jack that is itching to be tried out

I'm starting to think about a winter tire setup for my new x6 and see that others are as well. I wanted to bump up this old thread because I found it extremely helpful.

I'm thinking I'll probably get a set of 20" replicas, tpms sensors, and put a dedicated set of snows on 'em. I think it might be more cost effective in the long term than paying to switch tires twice a year. I'm still trying to figure out how to break it to the significant other that we need to drop a few thousand dollars on a wheel/tire package a week after spending $70k+ on a new x6.

1 question that I do have......I'm still trying to figure out why you would want to "stretch" a 275 tire over the 11" rear wheels. Does the extra inch of road contact on a 315 wheel really make a difference? Is there an advantage to having 4 identical tire sizes on the wheels even if you have a staggered setup?
