BMW X6 through American Express at $1,000 over cost including X6 M
I recently purchased a BMW X6 35i through American Express at $1,000 over cost. Go to the American Express home page > Search> AUTO PURCHASING PROGRAM or use link: http://amexnetwork.zag.com/main.html. Then search under new cars for BMW and zip code. Then it will list all BMW vehicles, select the model you want to price and option it out. This has to be one of the best ways to build your car as well. After you finish it will list a dealership in your area where you can factory order your car. There is no haggling with the price. It is $1,000 over cost and options are at cost. That is it, there are no cost or fees to you for using the program. Of course you can purchase other makes as well. I am just mystified when people say that they are buying these vehicles at MSRP or a little less, unless you are outside the United States. For those that plan to buy the 2011 BMW X6 and there is no bargaining power this is the way to go. This program maybe in other countries. You will need to search for AUTO PURCHASING PROGRAM.
I don't work for American Express either, but if I did I would still tell you all about this great program. Last edited by tjl18; 02-15-2010 at 08:40 PM.. Reason: Forgot Information |

This was very interesting, and helped me to confirm I got a great price from my dealer, although not as good as AMEX said they could do. These prices though are for in stock vehicles, and I am not sure I could have received exactly what I wanted in this manner.
This was an excellent review of the pricing, and there is even some history of sold vehicles to back it up. I had no idea of this site or procedure, so thanks. But, I do feel confident if it is something that you really want such as the X6M, it pays to work with an experienced dealer to facilitate the order process and purchase. Sort of like a real estate agent, you pay for professional assistance with your purchase/sale. |

Landlord - Actually, the prices they quote are for both in stock and factory orders. I factory ordered mine through the AMEX Auto Purchasing Program at Bell BMW, Newton, NJ. I placed the order in December 2009 and picked it up January 21, 2010. I had a good customer experience dealing with this BMW dealership, of course there are those dealerships you want to stand clear of.

You know there is a referral code in your link so somebody is benefiting from the click-thru's. Why not just to:

Harajuku - All I did was search for the Auto Purchasing Program on the AMEX website and paste the link. If you do the same thing you will get the same link. I'm not profiting from it. I'm just trying to help save money prospective buyers thousands of dollars because the program is safe, easy to use and worked for me.

ramirezalex - Yes, the program will work for leased vehicles. Originally, I decided to lease my X6, so the paperwork was written up as a lease. I then decided to finance the vehicle a week later. I still had time because the vehicle was on order. The total cost of the vehicle you work out on the AMEX website will now be the Cap Cost. Also, find out what the BMW's money factor is before you go to the dealership, that is like the interest rate. The money factor for BMW should be posted out there somewhere. You may have to Google it.
