BMW X6 2009 Bluetooth problem

hi guys,
I have a little problem here with my X6 bluetooth connection.
i-> setting-> bluetooth: it says "Please switch your bluetooth on" what does that mean phone is unable to find kit. is the any other ways or something I should know to activate my X6 bluetooth?
I tried to click on the icon in the bluetooth section but no luck it's not being activated and click is inactive

Make sure your phone is discoverable. That is a setting on your phone that you will need to activate and then enter the code that is on your idrive screen.
