Fuuny I was also told this yesterday by my sales manager here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I hope this is true. As my decisions went from a 2010 X5 xDrive30i to a 2010 X6 xDrive35i then finally 2011 X6 xDrive50i. Dibs on putting in order first.

What is the biggest difference between the 2010 and 2011 Model besides the 8 gears? What's the advantage? I'm suppose to take delivery of my 2010 50i next week. Should I change my order to a 2011? Please help list the pros and cons between both MY. Thank you.

If you guys have a 2010 on order like I do do not change it. first you will not get a good deal on 2011 models yet, second 8 speed to 6 speed its only 6% better fuel economy it really is not a big deal plus i am sure there was a price increase like every year and last the 2011 production will not begin until april and that means you will not see your vehicle until June or later. I just got my vin # on my X6 50i and can not wait to get it in about 3-4 weeks. Oh yea and if you are leasing they will not have any programs on 2011 in the beginning.

Agree. I just took delivery 2 days ago on my 2010. I originally considered my options on canceling my order and going for a 2011. With a holiday incentive and some dealer negotiation, I managed about $6000 off of the sticker on the 2010. I figured that I would be paying just about sticker price on a new order 2011, and have to wait several months more to get it. I have no regrets about keeping my 2010 order. When it comes time to trade in, the difference between the 2011 year and the 2010, given the same miles, will likely not be enough to offset the savings on the 2010. Get the performance package. The car is a beast.

Great point. I was able to get a great money factor and 500.00 over invoice on a fully loaded. Guess that it more than makes up for the 8% loss in mileage. I'm picking mine up next week.
