So far, my X5 has had an oil leak. Then the Navi failed.. CCC kept telling me to insert a disk even though it was in the unit already. Recently, my PDU failed along with the rear camera which the dealership covered under the CPO. I only spent $53 out of pocket for that $1400 + repair. Right now, she's doing fine (knock on wood)..

I purchased my 09 CPO'd + the Maintenance package back in April. So, unless you're destined to find the "perfect" used X5 definitely, definitely go with some type of warranty.

Guys, it's a hit and miss scenario.

I have a 07' 4.8 with 50K miles and minor issues like bushings and A/C blower.

I have two friends one with 2012 diesel and 2011 5.0 and miles around the 9k to 11k miles and have a lot of issues.

At least there is one positive owner...just wish we can tell which apple is the the bad one

I don't drive much, 6-8k miles ( 10-12k km) a year, hopefully the e70 will last me for 3-4 yearsm
