2013 x5 alignment

Question for you guys-- my x5 35d purchased in Feb, drive lightly (1500 miles so far) should I get an alignment?

I only ask--

my 2010 328i xdrive has 10 k miles and it's got inside tire cup/feathering - going in for an alignment-new tires-- I drive speed limits and the wheel never pulled to one side-- tracked straight.. my concern is - maybe they pop them off the line and they never get aligned? (these are staggered- the x5 has normal - so I will rotate)

Thanks for your help =)

Alignment

I have a 12 X5d with 20k. I just did my first alignment. Prior to this I rotated the tires twice.

I put on new tires and had alignments done on both my current and previous X5s around 27k miles. BMW intentionally has a negative camber on all four tires thus making the tires wear much quicker. Additionally, they recommend that you not rotate the tires. I have followed this recommendation so far, but would be curious to know if the tires last longer if I were to rotate them.

Have you noticed any difference in the ride after completing the rotation?

My 2¢ worth to OP:

I do an alignment on all my new cars as a rule - the reason? too many poor factory alignments (many brands including BMW) have worn out many tires prematurely. My brand new '12 X5d was way out of alignment at 100 miles when I had normal tires installed replacing the RFTs. Now the normal Pirelli Scorpion Verdes (19") have 28K miles on them and they look like they have another 10-15K miles left on them. They are worn evenly all around Tip: Use an independent shop that does alignments all day/every day and has a late Hunter machine. Avoid the BMW dealer.

I don't rotate because IMO it does not extend the life of the tires in any significant way, and it has introduced balancing problems when I've done it in the past. On my rear wheel drive cars where the rears wear out much quicker than the fronts I simply replace the two worn tires first, moving the front to back and putting the new ones in front. Both of my current rear wheel drive cars (550i and NSX) have different sizes in the rear so no rotation and replacing two at a time is the norm with these

My 2013 X5 was BADLY out of balance -from the get-go. I had steering and seat vibrations at 60-65 mph. Brought to the dealer and they had to force match the rears and add weights to the fronts. My X5 had 1,100 babied miles on it. No potholes, etc. All 4 tires were out of balance.

Came from the factory balanced like sh1t

My 2010 328 xdrive. had 10 k miles on it.. just had alignment, and 4 new conti's. they said the right rear- drive wheel.. was -2.30 out.. but they all were in the red. no no more droan at highway speeds.. this car was so babied.. I don't use it in winters, never south of nashua NH or north of littleton NH so I didn't get it.

I'll get the x5 aligned asap. I agree , they must have rolled off the line without any alignment.
