X5M / X6M DIY Forum

I have not found a DIY forum for X5M or X6M.

Is there an interest to start one?

Identify areas and attempt

This is good.

Maintenance DIY:
Spark plug change
Oil change
Tranny flush
Diff flush?
Brake pad replacement
Rotor replacement
Steering fluid flush
Air filter change
Cabin filter change

Am I missing any?

Why limit it to M models? What's the plan? Ask the mods for a forum or make your own site? Vbulletin is not free but that is what bimmerpost runs on. Lots of other forum software to choose from as well. Either way I would love to see a better online community for BMW X models. 3 and 5 series have it down but there is just not a lot of involvement for BMW X. Any suggestions for a good URL?

It is very helpful to incorporate DIY of all models. The motivation comes from the shared mechanicals of the X5M and X6M. But they all have similarities.

In general, I find a void in the maintenance DIY in this sub forum.

Yes, similar to this. Using that forum I changed the oil and spark plugs in my m3. I still have to change the tranny oil and diff oil.
