Love the car so far! Regarding stroking out the engine, doesn't seem like a necessary step if you go S/C. From what stroker numbers and dynos have been posted on this board, you're basically paying $1000/HP.

Need to add HFC Immediately LMAO.

Also I've always suspected a tune because it has the top speed limiter removed and some other circumstantial evidence. This backs up my theory, as while I have the equipment to clear any emission related codes, after over 70 miles of driving cat-less...Still NO check engine light...

Also felt and saw a HUGE increase in HP & TQ, as the wheels now spin through 1st 2nd and 3rd if I hit it too hard. Devils advocate, I have crap tires until I find a good winter setup, but she has never had enough power to LIGHT UP 3rd in the past. I'm theorizing it had a pre-existing tune for a cat-less setup and this mod really brought out AT LEAST 20whp. For me to feel it the way I do, I think more...

But I am sending the Vin to a few people to find out if it has been tuned yet...

UPDATE: AFTER 2 FULL DAYS THE CEL DID COME ON INDICATING THE CAR MAY NOT HAVE A TUNE, OR AT LEAST NOT ONE MADE FOR A CAR WITH MODIFIED PRIMARY CATS. WHILE IT STINKS I DIDN'T GET A $1,000 TUNE FOR FREE, IT EXCITES ME SEEING HOW FAST THE CAR IS WITHOUT A TUNE, AND GLAD THERE IS ONE MORE MOD I CAN DO THAT WILL ACTUALLY HAVE A NOTICEABLE AFFECT BEFORE I HAVE TO GO FORCED INDUCTION...

Enjoy...

Thanks bro.

Had her up on a lift at a buds shop today and figured I'd take a pic...

Also didn't get to install my UUC shifter yet but I did swap the shift knob to the ZHP weighted shifter, and that alone made a huge difference in shift feel, can't wait tto have the shorter throws from the new shifter and tighter feel of the DSSR...

Custom Embroidery?

As mentioned, I just got a brand new set of ///M3 Logo OEM Floor mats.

I am looking for a custom embroidery shop that would convert the flags on the logos to the monochrome color scheme (Black, grey/silver/ white) obviously looking for a quality OEM look and a price cheaper than or less than the price of buying the black/grey vorsteiner, or dinan floor mats (which run about $300)

A pic of my new mats logo...

Added Monochrome ///M on steering wheel...

Bought from eBay for $8 (8 badges) that fit the steering wheel and also fit any OEM Wheels...

Grabbing some 220 or 359s for the winter, hopefully in black or gunmetal w/ Blizzak tires...will add these badges for a nice touch

New Mods...

Bonus @ Work = New mods coming this week!
(Still no call from dealership about tranny)

UUC Short Shift Kit installed...

Ordering:

BPM or ESS Tune (Still debating, but def leaning toward BPM)

Mode Side Skirts

Drag Radials, or Michelin PSS 295's on the rear (already have PSS 265s for the front)

Considering doing connected Apps upgrade and or multimedia interface kit to run my engine monitoring apps on my LCD screen instead of my iPhone. (I believe my 2011 has the media combox already, as I have streaming BT music with album art...)

Anyone have any thoughts on Connected Apps? Does it only work with some Apps? Will I be able to run Dash Command or Rev with it?

...AT dealership til Friday 11/21

The day I get her back in goes:

1)BPM Tune, 8600RPM Limit, Launch Control & the works

2)My first Android Tablet with Torque Pro w/ Plug ins...

3)Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel Cover, Exterior door pillars,

4) Very close to pulling the string on CSL 1x1 CF Trunk and CF 1x1 OEM Hood...Well See...

Heres a general graph of my crank HP now based on the actual weight of the car w/ me in it (about 4000lbs), gear ratios all accurately entered and me actually doing a pull 1-5 0r 6....(By no means do i claim this is scientific, just another tool)

Approx Eng HP: 430

Let's see if we can get to 450 ...Stay tuned for the results...

it sounds like you didn't have a tune after all
you can't really go wrong with BPM, i've been running their catless tune since july with no issue.

Haha nope. After a few days the CEL came on....

Still can't explain the lack of a speed limiter. Euro Delivery Maybe? I have met a few other owners with similar experiences though. For now, I gave up on that one haha...

Anyway on to the FUN STUFF, MORE MODS...

Got my Brand new Autoteknic Carbon Fiber (1x1) Steering wheel cover today and installed a monochrome ///M badge on it. Also ordered amber LED, dark tinted side markers for the Autoteknic C/F side gills I've had for a while now...

But here is the steering wheel cover, the car is at the dealership until Friday, so Installed pics hopefully this weekend...

Decided to sell My UUC Short Shift Kit...

Car is in dealership now getting new transmission installed...My SM said they would install my SSK for cheap since obviously overlap would be heavy in labor...And as long as they installed it it wouldn't vid Warranty...'

The higher ups however didn't see it that way and not surprisingly denied it. While tunes, and other voidable mods and easy to pull off when the car goes to the dealer, the shift kit is not something I want to take out and put in every time I get a service.

Also installed the the ZHP Shift knob (1+" shorter than stock) and installing DSSR for more precise shifting...

SO IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED I HAVE A UUC EVO SHORT SHIFT KIT FOR SALE FOR $150 + SHIPPING WHICH IS WHAT I PAID A FEW WEEKS AGO FROM A FELLOW FORUM MEMBER. ALSO OPEN TO TRADES. ANY INTEREST?

Finally decided on tune after speaking to Mike Benvo on the telephone, his level of service and knowledge of the S65 platform is as good as it gets (Sal @ ACM is another great & intelligent owner)...

Was having the debate I'm sure many of you had between:

Evolve vs. Turner vs. AA vs. ESS vs. BPM...

Narrowed to ESS vs. BPM

Ultimately the WINNER IS:

BPM STAGE II (Ordered this AM: Car should be back from dealer tomm )

Bpm Tune Installed...

Ordered Friday, Cable arrived today as promised...Used my Macbook Pro and a program that runs a windows platform on the Mac (which Mike remotely installed)...

After actually reading the instructions (which were short and easy to understand)...Install was an absolute breeze...Less than 10 Minutes and I was back on the road....All I can say is WOW.

The roads were wet and cold so traction was non existent. But this really highlighted the power gains even more....While I couldn't really feel the pull 1st-3rd because of the wheel spin, the tires actually spun in 4th at WOT which has NEVER happened.

Aside from the obvious power gains, the benefit of the tune was obvious from the start of the engine...Smoother idle, less unburnt fuel smell from the cat-less exhaust, throttle response was much sharper and torque came on much earlier than before.

Once the road's dry up tomorrow I'll be able to give a more thorough review. But clearly money was well spent, and if 4th - 6th gear pulled that much harder can't wait to feel 1st-3rd.

Big Thanks to Mike @ BPM for the software and his help with my computer illiterate ass...

I'll post some video's and hopefully some track times shortly.
