Installing Illuminated Door Sills on BMW X5 E70

Has anyone installed illuminated door sills on BMW X5? I just picked them up from my dealership and have no clue or instructions as to how to proceed. It requires splicing into the existing wiring. If anyone has installed these before or know where to find the installation instruction, please let me know. Dealer is asking $450 for installation, I want to do it myself ... Thank you.

See attached.

BTW, the dealership is supposed to print out these instructions in case there are none in the kit.

Where is the cheapest place to pickup the kit?

How well does it handle winter?

Very interested, u have to post some pictures!!!

Lots of pictures, people are always stingy when giving install pictures and final results.

I picked mine up from Peter Pan BMW in Bay Area SF. They seemed to have the best price for these. Not sure about the winter wear, since the only snow that we can find close to California would be Lake Tahoe. I will definitely post lots of pictures, once I get these installed. I finally have original instructions from BMW. Would also be nice to know if someone has DIY instructions with supporting images (lots of images) to make my life easier when I will attempt to install these myself. If anyone has, please post. Thank you.

Finally got to installing Sport Steering Wheel with bamboo wood inlay, Running Boards, Break Dust Covers and Illuminated BMW Door Sills. Installing all these items took me one whole day at a shop. Can't say that everything was easy; however, looking back at it all and seeing the difference in my X5, it was all very well worth it. I enjoy spending my time on DYI projects like these. (Aftermath images attached). If you have any questions about installing any of these on your X5, feel free to ask, since now I know how to :-)
