What do you think 2010 X5Ms are going for now?

I'm thinking of trading it in and trying to get a read of the market but prices for these cars are all over the place!!

I have a pretty fully spec'd out 2010 X5M with 18,000 miles on it.

What do you think I could sell it for?

Jeff

if it's at a dealer, i wouldn't be surprised if they are asking over 60 and maybe 65

My guess is that a dealer will offer you somewhere between $45K and $50K if you trade it in.

You could check KBB and NADA for a trade in price.

I looked at several 2011 X5Ms and live in your area, one was completely loaded at a BMW dealer (Russell) - leather dash, soft close doors, perforated leather and they wanted $57K It had about 30K miles. The rest were less than that.

And those were all 11s. If they were retailing for $57K and under, what do you think they gave the previous owner as a trade in?

Good luck.

Thats what I'm trying to figure out. When you cars.com the X5M the range is pretty big for not a large inventory relative to other models of cars.

i was hoping to get low to mid 50s on the trade..but i think it will be more inline with what you said.

too bad, its a low mileage 17K miles, has extended warranties and maintenance. i would try and sell it myself but not sure i would get more than mid-50s anyway

FYI, the warranty issue was huge for me because you can pretty much assume that any M has been completely caned by the original owner. So 10s and 11s were basically out for me (most 11s I looked at were in service in 10). The 12s were al out of my price range.

INcidently, my 50i was owned by a 71 year old lady who traded it in cos she couldn't climb up into it

Not sure about 2010 X5Ms, but 2012s have asking prices in the 60s. San Fran BMW just sold a 2013 X5M for $79k.

I wonder how many people they tell that story to every X5 buyer that comes through the door, unless I saw the old lady I wouldn't believe that story for a second.

Do you mind telling us what you got the 2013 X5M for? Or, % off invoice if you don't want to share dollar amount? I'm looking at getting a 2013 too.

Ahh but you see, I actually talked to her. Long story and it was after the purchase but the car came with only one key fob and in attempting to get the second one (which she still had) I ended up having a nice chat.

She bought a 3 series GT.
