06 x5 4.8is dinan?
Is it worth spending 3-4k to Dinan my jeep, or am i just paying for a "brand"
i want to mod it up a little, the jeep is in MINT condition despite the years its been used. only has 30k miles on it. Is it worth to Dinan the car up? or should i stick to random aftermarket items. |

I modded two 4.6iS' with Dinan...although Dinan modding options are limited with the E53 4.8iS, if you're performance-biased, you won't regret it. Dinan is not only a top brand, but they put a significant amount of R&D into the performance pro's & con's of each respective model...they match the same warranty as BMW and they're backed by BMW to boot!
I was seriously considering upgrading to their supercharger system when i heard of the upcoming release of the X5 M. Steve Dinan is the ONLY tuner i would trust to mod any of my BMW's. For more info, i suggest you do a search on Xoutpost...lot's of members there have experience with Dinan. |

Given that some of my 4.8is friends got scattered parts, they were able to bump their trucks up to 430hp. if i max out on dinan parts which is prob (s2 package) the most ill get is 390hp. is it worth getting different parts for power rather than just going with dinan with limited parts/power?

*edit: also the E53 LM V12 Can you provide the list of parts or tuners that your friends used to gain 400+HP? If they are indeed gaining 430 and they have dyno-graphs to confirm, i'd love to see that as well Last edited by ChilliWilli; 08-03-2010 at 10:44 AM.. |
