Read the exclusions on the specials page. Sale excludes Turbo V8 software.

You're right - good point.

But I believe the X6 exhaust system is on sale. Here's a link. I believe the X6 belongs to a XBimmer forum member.

Do you know how the stage one software upgrade work if I already have the 7RR pkg on my 50i. I think it gave me an extra 40hp? DO I get the 97hp upgrade on top of that, or just 57hp? If it's just the 57, should there not be a price reduction? That should be clarified on his website.

To be sure, those are good questions for Dinan's teks, but I would suggest that all you'll get is the total increase promised by Dinan's software flash.

It's my understanding from talking very briefly with Steve is they take one of BMW's ECU flash updates and tweak certain variables within that code. They use that tweaked flash to overwrite the one that resides on your X6, which more than likely includes the 7RR pkg. Just a guess on that one.

But going on, that's why dealerships sometimes overwrite Dinan's flash when they do their own factory updates. Additionally, Steve indicated that BMW is constantly churning out ECU updates to resolve various issues so Dinan's crew doesn't tweak every revision, but picks one that incrementally deals with a number of issues and reprograms that one.

Again, I would suggest you talk with his people in Morgan Hill at 800-343-5480.
