X6 stolen from front of house
This man's X6 was stolen right in front of his house. My condolences go out to him. (the link is google translated).
Unfortunately for him, he had not yet activated his BMW GPS tracking system. My question to everyone, is - do you know of anyone who has had his\her BMW stolen even though he had a GPS tracking system and he was NOT able to retrieve it? I am trying to judge how perfect GPS systems are, and if there are any near perfect anti-theft systems out there. http://translate.google.com/translat...ml&sl=de&tl=en |

I have lojack installed with early warning. If it moves a couple hundred feet from your location, Lojack will alert you by phone-text and email. I think it's one of the safest systems out there. Law enforcement can track a vehicle with lojack. Lojack is also available and expanding into alot of other countries too. The dealer hooked me up for like $350. that's terrible, surprised he did not have his gps tracking system activated before he drove off the lot, when I picked up my 535i my CA did that for me before I went to the finance dept and finish signing everything...

I have lojack and additional real time GPS tracking system. There are GPS systems available that will track even if the car is in a cargo container, just a matter of how much money you're willing to spend. The BMW GPS tracking is not a good theft deterrent the first thing a professional thief will do is break off the shark fin.

double GPS tracking and double alarms. What i dont understand is if BMW and the insurance companies know that it is still possible to steal these cars, why dont they do something more inventive about it??!! |

If they steal mine let them have it. That's what I pay insurance for. I don't want my stolen car back. Who knows what went on in there.
