Nurburgring loses spot to Hockenheim For this years F1 race

And possibly more than this year also. As reported in Jalopnik and also Motorsport.com, Bernie Ecclestone has decided to move the F1 race that was supposed to be at Nurburgring this year, back to Hockenheim. According to reports, the new management at Nurburgring never finalized a deal with Ecclestone to host the F1 race there.

This is a disappointing loss for Nurburgring both financially and as a matter of history and pride. This is going to reverberate all over the Rhineland Pfalz region and also have a major setback for that community.
