I've watched that 3 times now, that is just amazingly close and great reactions from the biker. Can't blame the car though, he was hammering it.
Fairly common experience if your giving it some though, whether its a car/oil/damp/mud... |

Def. an experienced rider to have missed the car, but then to get on the gas after and act like nothing happened, this guy has some brass nuts! I have prolly 20 years on dirtbikes and racing motx and a lil experience on street bikes, I could have prolly missed the car, but to be able to miss the car and weave back into his lane in a matter of seconds takes some skill.

One of many reasons I've never got into superbikes - however good you are, other cars are likely to kill you.

Rider acting like a dick head came close to ruining the life of an innocent car driver.
Everyone in my family rides bar myself and I love bikes - but we can't make excuses for this twat riding like this on public roads.

I didn't put the life of others at risk, like the biker!!!.....clear road....with no traffic!!!....not even cats, dogs, hedgehogs or horses!!!....just me and the other car....side by side....in a straight line....and with FULL control over stopping distance, and i repeat FULL CONTROL OVER STOPPING DISTANCE etc,.... the biker was going so fast that braking was impossible....trust me, those bikers are dangerous, and accidents can get VERY nasty!!!....let alone they kill themselves but they traumatise the other person for life!!!.... |

yes, I am for a lil bit of "fun"....clear road, no kids crossing, no oncoming traffic, good weather, national speed limit ....
not really into "getting on a bike with a camera, and going CRAZY with speed" |

Not that I ever ride anything like that quick on the road these days, but when I get a near miss, or lucky escape like that it always acts as a slap on the wrists - whether it was my fault or not. If it was someone else's fault then the slap on the wrists was still for me to pay more attention to not put myself in that situation again or to watch out for the circumstances that led up to it.
I just hope that rider takes it the same way - that could easily be dismissed as skill, rather than luck, and he could carry on riding the same way (or worse) and end his life, and possibly someone elses, through arrogance . Don't get me wrong I think that film shows skill to avoid locking up, panicking and bailing etc etc but the real skill is to never end up in a situation where you have to use those skills like that..... |
