Cargo Mats: Weather Tech or BMW

Wondering if there are any opinions between the two?

I have the Weather Tech in my X5 and BMW in my M5. So not apples to apples so take my comparison with a grain of salt.
  • They're both pretty similar, honestly, but in terms of grip (think things sliding around on them) but I think the BMW one is just a hair better.
  • I like that the waffle pattern on the Weather Tech is more uniform.
  • The lip on the forward side of the Weather Tech is always getting caught on the rear seats when I'm folding, unfolding, sliding, or reclining them.
  • Because of this I think the weather tech mat slides around in the cargo area more (again not apples to apples as the M5 mat doesn't move, nor does it have the opportunity to)
  • Lastly, if you have the 3rd row the seatbelts will interfere with the sides and it will never lay completely flat.
In the end you really can't go wrong with either.

Thanks Cnoro & jbash87!
They both sound good... probably going with BMW one to save a few $$$ if they are that similar!

Actually ended up going w/ WT... it was a bit more, but I just didn't have faith in the BMW one.

Minor rant: why on earth doesn't the roll out cargo cover have a vertical net on it like the lowly E91 wagon has? Sheesh BMW, you don't have to cut every feature out to save a buck...
