which cable gives control of iphone

hi guys , sorry if this has been asked before.
i have a x6 35d which i recently purchased, with the pro nav, and got the bmw factory cable for the ipod/iphone, but have no control over it, has part number on bag 61 12 0 440 812.
am i doing some thing wrong?

Can you transfer music through the bluetooth? If you can, only the white apple USB wire would be required. If not, you would need the BMW Y-Cable.

nope doesnt support bluettoth steaming, i think i have found the prob, had a quick look on ebay and there all quoting a different part number for control of the iphone, so will call my dealer tomorrow and see if they can swap it
