X5M tinted...

Well, the first mod since we bought the X. As you can see, its not totally stock, but this is the first mod we have done. The X has the OEM privacy glass (S761A Individual Sunshade Glazing....?) but I didn't like how the front windows were completely clear. Also, the Florida summers will bake a car, so I wanted something to block out as much UV and heat as possible. The tint we used is the same thing we've put on all our cars and it has a lifetime warranty. We really like the product, and our tint guy does an awesome job. My wife says it looks a lot darker in the pics than in real life. I'm out of town, so I don't know...

Llumar FormulaOne Pinnacle on the front 2 windows
Llumar AirBlue80 on windshield and all other windows

Thoughts??

Thanks... For reference, that is a 30% tint on the front windows. Its the same we had on our previous cars, and I can verify it is way lighter than the pics show...

Looks good Jon!

I agree with P1et - those wheels looks fantastic. I really prefer them over the standard 299's. Were these an optional X5M wheel or just something the prior owner bought after the fact?

Thanks guys... Yeah I love the wheels too. I'm pretty sure they were only offered as an aftermarket purchase, not an option when building the vehicle. I do know that our X5 originally came with the Style 299s. But agreed, I prefer these, although not sure about anthracite, I typically like silver wheels. I'm still debating some spacers too. Have to look at it some more when I'm home next time.

I've had my eye out for a set for a while now. I'd love to paint the same colour as my 333M wheels.

Hmm yeah, I do agree, that is a great look that the 333s have... It would be tough with the Style 239s though because the spokes don't have a flat face. Not really sure where you'd tape the edges between the gunmetal and the machined "face" Not sure if that makes sense...

Thanks for the continued comments guys. I have a few plans to mod the X, but not a ton as this is my wife's vehicle. Right now we're trying out having only one vehicle, so, have to take it easy for a little while...

Yep, I know exactly what you mean. And it's a good point. A touch darker would be nice, but perhaps not as dark as the 333M wheels.

Yeah for sure. I think I'll keep my wheels stock, but if they ever need refinishing, I'll go with more of a hyper silver look. The 359 reps I had on my E46 were hyper silver and they popped so much more than the OEM 359s.
