Is it possible guys that my X6 50i arrives earlier then expected ?????

Is it possible guys that my X6 50i arrives earlier then expected ???? My production was scheduled the week of the 8 the, the system showed the vehicle in production on the 10 th and now it is showing that its in local port to be shipped to dealer after skipping 2 steps... My sales guy called me first saying that and he thought it was a computer error on his end but today it shows on my account too. I am so Excited but dont wanna raise my hopes to hi incase it is a system problem.

I seem to remember my online tracking skipping a few steps too, so it is entirely possible. I had a date certain for delivery, though, as I picke dup at the factory in SC, so that could have tweaked it a little. In any event, good luck getting your new car sooner rather than later!

The online tracking is more of a "warm fuzzy" rather than what actual production phase you car is in. after a year of me driving my car it is still shown as "At Preparation Center", as it goes through the phases at least you know it's on it's way to you.

Maybe BMW could use one of their new iDrives to run the tracking application on so we could get real time updates.

I will try to explain as good as possible how BMW works in terms of custom ordered cars.
Each dealer has the right to place a number of pre-orders to the factory just to lock production dates ( if the dealer does not sell those cars, they still have to buy them) the factory has a deadline to make any changes to the cars previously ordered ( they can change almost the entire car, such is color, features, etc etc ) whether at the time you place your order they still have cars that don't have an owner yet, you are lucky, you can catch an earlier production date without the hassle of waiting several weeks to assigned production.
