E70 self leveling concern

I have an '07 with 3rd row that comes equipped with the self leveling bags for the rear and for the past month or so when the car is parked the backend of the car would drop considerably low. It seems to only happen when the car is park for longer than 2-3 hours. Now when I open a door, the rear would adjust it self to match the frontend of the car. I have never had an error messages for the rear suspension, and the rear have never sunken when driven. My question is, is this the beginning of the bags failing? Or does the car have to be calibrated or something? (This is my first car with bags by the way)

Your rear bags are leaking. Only sagging when parked. I had same issue dealer replaced the bags.

I had the same problem on my E70, went with Arnott air bags with life time warranty. Better build quality compared to OEM BMW bags IMO.

i have the same problem but only on the drivers side..... i was wondering if the drivers side was faulty for dropping (intermittently) or whether the passenger side was faulty for not dropping.....

Get that taken care of sooner than later. Even though it appears to be intermittent, you don't want to find yourself in a place where you are also replacing an overworked compressor! $$$

I have a question on this....
The instructions state that you must "operate the raising function of the cars electronics"...
How is that done??

Im having this problem when parked on the rear passenger side. What did you wind up doing op? Is this fairly easy to get done on my own?

Arnott is good to work with. I put an Arnott replacement on my E55 (lifetime warranty on their airbags) and did it in my garage in 30 minutes. +1 to probably cheaper and more reliable than OEM.
