Rear seat heaters
After a visit to dealer this week, one item that was supposed to be fixed was my rear seat heaters not working. The paper work confirms that they now work. Of course I tested it myself and found that, just as before, the indicator lights come on but the seats are not warming. I tried it with the car running and now they do work. But I assume they should work whether the car is running or not, just as the front seats do, so I think something is still wrong. Could someone please check on their vehicle - do the rear seat heaters work with the ignition in the accessory position? Thanks.

Just checked mine - the fronts heat in the accessory position but not the rears. So either it's expected behavior or mine are broken too!

Exactly ... seat heaters draw enormous amounts of current. The e70 X5 is already known as a energy hog. Your battery would be drained in no time ...

PAX - are you confirming that yours also function the same - fronts seats work regardless of engine running or not but rears require the engine to be running?
