Spare tire kit

Hey guys, I finally closed a deal on a 2010 X6M and wanted to know if BMW sells the spare tire kit for the car, I remember seeing a post long time ago, so if anyone can help me finding the part # and the price I will be more than greatful

Thanks
Bernie

I ordered it after I got my car. It costs $450 with installation. Would have cost me about $75 if I got it with the car...

No, but all I did was called my dealer and asked for it. Make sure you get it with the jack and also you can negotiate a bit. They originally wanted more.

I did but the only dealer here in Costa Rica does not have that feature available, that is why Im looking for the OEM part # that way I can give it to him, sounds weird, but maybe the feature is not available for my market

The 18" alloy is around 80 bucks (I'm converting from GBP here where it's 48 pounds). The difficult bit is findind the rubber to fit on it. 155/90/18 is the measurement you need. You can pick up a jack on ebay and a specialist round carry bag for the kit which fastens down with velcro, again off ebay. Total probably around 180 bucks plus the rubber. Depends how desperate you are to have a spare. I decided to stick with the RFTs and a good recovery membership.

I don't think there is a single part number for the kit. It comes in pieces.

Check out the picture of the factory spare tire option I ordered and received on my X6M:
You may need this rim to clear the large front brake calipers versus the stamped steel rim in that other kit. I would keep searching for the part numbers of the factory items.
