N63 Customer Pack Done - Cleared my Active Autowerks Tune
Just got my x5 (5.0i) back from dealer, they replaced everything on the recall expect the timing chain (no stretch).
Pretty sure my Active Autowerks tune was wiped clean... Car is slow and can't hear the intake anymore. Now, since engine parameters have probably changed... I assume Active Autoworks needs to rescan my truck? revise their tune? Happen to anybody else? Thoughts?

Not surprised. I had coding done last year and it was all wiped when I had some injectors replaced last summer.
Interesting that the dealers don't really seem to care if guys are running aftermarket tunes on these. I'm shocked you've not had issues with warranty items because of it. Isn't that the whole reason for paying more for the Dinan tune? |

Update. Production date 9/2010. I was just called and my SA advised that I have been approved for the complete customer care package which will include new injectors. No need for a timing chain. I am also in a 528 loaner which to my surprise is a pretty nice ride.

I like the dash layout and the idrive in the 528. Car was gutless and completely numb, but the interior was well thought out.
Could definitely tell it was pretty advanced when I got back into the E70 - gauges felt pretty old, lookin' at them again! |

Brought mine in for a bad Lighting module.. And they updated my software.. I had a Velos tune which was wiped.. I was unable to re-up the tune due to the fact that my software version had changed.. I had to pay Velos money to unlock my tuner so i could upload the tune..

I had a '15 328i as a loaner last week. Absolutely loved it! My two '11s felt so dated all of a sudden.

I'm in the same boat (tune cleared, tuner thinks the tune is still in the car). Have had a couple emails out to Omar for the past few days, going to call them this morning to get this moving. The car feels like a dog without the tune--I was definitely spoiled. |

Interesting, so your Velos tuner box is telling you the tuned MOD file is already on the car even though you feel the car lost the tune after injector replacement? I've felt like the power in mine hasn't been the same since I got mine back after the injector replacement and the personal tuner box is saying the tuned file is already on the car...

The dealer definitely reflashed the vehicle, as my boost gauge shows stock boost levels now rather than the tuned ones. I think reflashing is part of the standard procedure when injectors are replaced, as in my work order there's a 'performed injector calibration and equalization' note. I spoke to Omar at Velos yesterday, and he had to send my serial # to the tuner manufacturer to get a file to unlock the tuner and bring it back to base state. I should have that monday. |
